Exclusive: Samsung Galaxy 5 available in India for Rs 9,000

  You thought, Galaxy 3 was enough, no it’s not. Samsung has more in store for you. Another exclusive from us, Samsung Galaxy 5 Android phone is now available in India. This is the sixth Android powered phone in the Galaxy series.

An official announcement about the launch can be expected anytime next week. An entry level smartphone Galaxy 5 will be the second Android smartphone after Acer beTouchE110 in sub 10,000 price range. The phone was first announced at CommucAsia in Singapore.
Samsung Galaxy 5 is also an Android 2.1 smartphone with Touchwiz 3.0 on the top. Other specifications include 2.8” QVGA touchscreen, MSM7227-1 600MHz Processor, 3G, 2-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, A-GPS, 1200mAh battery, microSD card slot and FM radio.
Samsung has put an MRP of Rs 10,200 for the smartphone, but it is selling under Rs 9,000 online at different retailers like Univercell and Flipkart. So, expect it to get in the same price at the retail stores also.
