Picture-perfect head and shoulders pattern

Forexmentor.com Forex Trading Price Action

We at www.forexmentor.com sincerely hope that you had a great Labor Day weekend unless, of course, you live in a country where it is celebrated at a different time of the year – like Australia, China, New Zealand, etc.!

Courtesy Christoph Lahrs, there is a picture-perfect head and shoulders pattern forming on the USD/CHF daily chart. Further, if you look closely, you will observe positive divergence on MACD histogram to price. And, if you look even more closely, price is above the 200 EMA on the 4 hour, 1 hour, 15 minute and 5 minute charts – at least as at 8:30 pm ET Monday, September 3/07.

The head of the H&S pattern is at the 200 EMA, but price is below the 200 EMA on the weekly chart – so, there is the possibility that price will advance from here. But, let’s not forget that the overall trend is down. Any trades to the long side from here are counter the big trend, and should be taken with extreme caution.

Forex On Top was updated this afternoon and there are a lot of big moves. Why visit? The most informative sites tend to bubble up to the top. With so many forex websites out there, it's tough to disseminate the good from the bad. Granted, there are a lot of broker sites in the top 50 but there are also a lot of non-broker sites mixed in that get just as much traffic. This is impressive considering they're competing without expensive advertising campaigns. Check out sites ranked 1-50, 51-100, 101-150, and more. What Is More Important In Forex Than Making Money?

What Is More Important In Forex Than Making Money?

I haven't been able to make any progress monetarily in about a month. I'm up about 4% this month but breaking my account balance all-time high has been a struggle. I'm pretty much stuck where I was around this time last month. I'm not all that concerned and shouldn't be considering I was preaching patience a couple of days ago. It's just that everytime I open my trading platform, the account balance is just staring me in the face.

It's more important that I progress as a risk-aversed trader. For newer traders, it's very important for you to understand that learning methods to control your risk should be a priority. Making gains monetarily is obviously important but making gains and strides elsewhere are more important. When I first started trading mostly with demo accounts, I had some unbelievably profitable trades but my strategies were random and my risk and leverage too high. A lot of this is just pure luck and not going to take you to the next level. Your account balance shouldn't be used as a guage for success. Some questions to ask yourself to guage your success may be:

Have you managed to minimize your risk and maximize your reward?

Have you maintained consistency?

Have you been able to control your emotions?

Have you developed a complete trading system that you've been able to follow without deviation?

If you haven't been profitable, have you at least been able to turn those gushing drawdowns into slow bleeders?

If you're new to trading forex or have been trading for a couple of years, the #1 goal is to stay in the game as long as you can. I've talked to many traders over the years and many of them have been in and outers. They'll jump in head first, blow up multiple accounts, and jump out never to be heard from again. There are other traders I've known who couldn't consistently turn a profit and instead turned into mentors or forex marketers. Heed caution... There are also others who couldn't stand the non-regulation of forex and went back to trading futures or stocks. There are a couple traders still around since I started but I can count them on one hand. It takes years to become a trader and I can't even say that for certain. I'm still not there but I'm still around and giving myself at least 5 years. If it doesn't work out for me or you after 5 years, just think of the countless people who have gone to college and have never entered into the field of their degree

What Do You Think Is Holding You Back?

What Do You Think Is Holding You Back?

"You have been at this forex thing for a while now and still are not achieving the results you had originally hoped you would achieve. What do you think is holding you back?"

Simple question but nevertheless a good one that made me think.

I have been forex trading for almost three years, not a sophomore and not a senior. Three years ago I had high hopes of trading full time within one years time. These hopes faded as the reality quickly sunk in. The results I was hoping to achieve back then were just totally unrealistic. I'm a firm believer that trading takes experience so there really is no way of rushing the learning process. The more you rush, the more chance you have of getting so discouraged that you want to run as fast as you can away from the market.

After rethinking my initial goals, I limped around for quite a long time. I couldn't even put together a profitable month. During this time, I got extremely discouraged and couldn't even hope for achieving anything. I was probably two months away from quitting.

Then about six months ago, I got my motivation back and wanted to give it one more shot. A lot of things seemed to come together quickly for me and I felt good about my trading. This was the point where I felt like I could start setting realistic goals and I did. Since then, I think I've made great progress toward reaching these goals. In fact, I think I've surpassed the expectations I had six months ago.

So in response to the comment, I think I've achieved the results that I had hoped six months ago not three years ago. In response to the question, the only thing holding me back now is my renewed motivation to excel in my non-trading occupation. This was a bit unexpected but one must have a backup plan. I worked hard to get where I am and I don't want to throw it all away. Ultimately, I want to work for me and I think trading gives me the best shot at doing that.

Easy - Forex Day Trading

Forex? What is it, anyway?

The market

The currency trading (FOREX) market is the biggest and the fastest growing market on earth. Its daily turnover is more than 2.5 trillion dollars, which is 100 times greater than the NASDAQ daily turnover. (click here to read full market background by Easy-Forex™).

Markets are places to trade goods. The same goes with FOREX. The Forex goods (or merchandise) are the currencies of various countries. You buy Euro, paying with US dollars, or you sell Japanese Yens for Canadian dollars. That's all.

How does one profit in Forex?

Very simple and obvious: buy cheap and sell for more! The profit is generated from the fluctuations (changes) in the currency exchange market.

The nice thing about the FOREX market, is that regular daily fluctuations, say - around 1%, are multiplied by 100! (in general, Easy-Forex™ offers trading ratios from 1:50 to 1:200). If, for example, the exchange rate of "your" pair of currencies increased by 0.6% in the last 4 hours, your profit will be 60% on your investment! Such can happen in one business day, or in a few hours, even minutes.

Moreover, you cannot lose more than your "margin"! You may profit unlimited amounts, but you never lose more than what you initially risked and invested.

You can implement your choice (the pair of currencies, the volume amount) under any direction to which the market is moving, and yet make profit. It does not matter whether the exchange rate is going up or down: you can always decide to buy Euro and sell dollar, or vice versa - buy dollar and sell Euro. You don't have to physically possess certain currencies in order to perform "buy" or "sell" with them.

How do I start?

Register (Easy-Forex™ offers the simplest and quickest registration process, no obligation); deposit your first trading "margin" amount (credit cards are welcome, only by Easy-Forex™); start trading.

It can't be simpler or easier than that. Need help? We'll provide you with 1-on-1 training and service, as much as necessary (Easy-Forex™ offers real people service, live, in your own language).

How do I trade Forex?

You select the pair of currencies with which you wish to make a Forex deal. You determine the volume (the amount of the deal). You deposit the "margin" (collateral needed to facilitate the deal. Usually - only a very small portion of the whole deal, say: 1% or 1:100).

Before you finally activate the deal, you can still "freeze" it for a few seconds. That enables you to either change the terms, or accept it as is, or altogether regret the whole idea. The "freeze" feature is a unique service by Easy-Forex™.

When your Forex deal is running (you hold an "open position"), you can monitor its status and check scenarios online, whenever you wish. You may change some terms in the deal, or close it (and cash the profit, if any, or minimize the loss, if any). Moreover, Easy-Forex™ lets you determine a "take-profit" rate, with which the deal will close automatically for you, when and if such rate occurs in the market. Meaning: you do not have to stay near your computer when you hold open positions.

Good luck!

Mamak stall / shop full term by AllMalaysia.Info

The term “mamak” is widely used, though it is not considered a polite term, to describe Indian Muslims. However, the term “mamak stalls” is not exclusively used to describe food stalls owned by members of that community. Rather, it has taken a wider meaning, due to its popularity, describing outdoor stalls of similar fashion that remain open till the wee hours of the morning.

Most mamak stalls open for business at about 5pm and remain open till way after midnight. It’s not uncommon to see a row of stalls taking up more than just the allocated sidewalk space, with plastic chairs and tables covering a portion of the adjoining lanes or road.

iRobot Dirt Dog

Here’s a dog you don’t have to feed…iRobot Dirt Dog.

Not content with just the Roomba vacuuming robot and the Scooba floor-washing robot, IRobot Corp is going where no other robot has gone beforehand…The place where HP has its roots, in garages, basements and workshops.

iRobot Dirt Dog will clean up your dangerous nails and dusty saw dust after you’ve done making book shelves for your wife. It differs from its siblings by not having a vacumn and that makes it cheaper too at $129.99. Looks like there’s a market for this after all…We just hope they don’t come out with car washing robots as we want to see more videos of Jessica Simpson and Paris Hilton in wet bikinis to perk our day up…

It is equipped with two rotating brushes designed to sweep away nails, dirt, sawdust and other debris. Its bin that collects the stuff is also 40 percent larger than Roomba’s. While the Dirt Dog is designed for a more specialized market, Dussault stopped short of saying expectations are lower for the new product than they were for Roomba or Scooba.

How would you change the ipod touch?

Well before the iPhone became anything more than a pipe dream, folks were clamoring for a truly updated iPod — one that featured more pixels, a widescreen display and wireless capabilities at the very least. As the iPhone finally came to fruition, hopes were yet again dashed as Apple forced anyone desperate for the aforementioned PMP to also purchase a new cellphone, not to mention live with merely 8GB of storage at the high-end. Thankfully for us all, Cupertino finally saw fit to release the phoneless iPhone, which seemed to combine all of our previous wishes into one very sleek — save for that black notch in the rear — device. Shortly thereafter, users began kvetching over seemingly widespread display issues, the inability to natively use it in Disk Mode and the 16GB cap on capacity. Furthermore, who could forget the way our dreams were crushed when the Bluetooth caper ended with inconclusive results? And yes, we’re still wondering why we can’t add calendar appointments on this thing.
That being said, here’s your chance to rip, rag on or reiterate your love for Apple’s long-awaited iPod touch. How would you have done things differently? What features would have been added and what hardware changes would’ve been made? Oh, and why isn’t this thing available in iPod white™?

Nokia Rolls Out the 6110 Navigator

Nokia has just launched its GPS-enabled 6110 Navigator. Did the company hold a boring old press event with handouts to announce the fact? No sirree – what Nokia did was to arrange a kind of treasure hunt through the southern extremity of the great, yet terribly crowded, city of Mumbai!

This is how it went: we were divided into groups and provided with a Toyota Innova, a dedicated driver who wasn’t allowed to go in any direction except the one we told him to, a Nokia rep with a 6110 Navigator, and a few snacks. Loaded with these essentials we were sent on a wild ride through south Mumbai to gather clues to lead us to subsequent destinations. The Navigator, of course, was meant to guide us along.
It was no easy task considering we’d be disqualified if were to use the city’s best way of navigation i.e. asking the man on the street. And I don’t need to tell you about the traffic in Mumbai; you can well imagine why getting around quickly was impossible. In other words, we didn’t win – but hey, I got to put the Navigator through its paces and that’s what really counts. NOT! On the plus side, the weather in Mumbai being what it is these days, I didn’t sweat too much.

The 6110 Navigator is an easy-to-use GPS-enabled handset. GPS may be its USP, but it’s also equipped with some pretty decent features. These include a 2 megapixel camera, microSD support, USB v2.0 (mini USB), Bluetooth with A2DP profile, music player, and stereo FM radio.
This 3G-, HSDPA-enabled slider also supports EDGE. A secondary camera located above its 2.2 inch TFT display (240 x 320 pixels, 16M colors) comes in handy for video calls. As for the GPS, maps of eight Indian cities are included, and are really quite detailed.
The device is available off the shelf for around Rs 14,250 with bill and warranty. Expect a detailed review from us soon!

Sony’s Vaio TP Home Theater PC

As the fusion of the Internet and television continues to evolve, new hardware has been popping up in the living room. With its circular design, Sony’s Vaio TP Home Theater PC stands out on a home entertainment shelf full of typical black and silver boxes — and brings a Blu-ray disc player, HDTV recorder and a full Windows Vista Home Premium system into the mix.
Available next month for about $3,000, this Vaio comes with 4 gigabytes of memory, a 500-gigabyte hard drive and an Intel Core 2 Duo T8100 processor. The round, black PC connects to a widescreen TV with a high-definition multimedia interface, or H.D.M.I., cable and includes a wireless keyboard for using the Web from across the room.
The PC comes with a pair of CableCARD-compatible tuners that let you record two high-definition programs at once, and its hard drive holds up to 50 hours of high-definition recordings. If the price tag seems out of reach, there’s also a white model with a single TV tuner for $1,600

Sony’s Walkman NW-a910 series slakes that media jones

Nice huh? That’s the latest Walkman from Sony. However, unless you live in Japan, you can forget about using it to watch your mobile digital TV. This little pup packs a 1Seg tuner, not DMB, DVB-H, or Flo. Measuring just 86.8 × 48 × 12.3-mm, the NW-A910 series player holds up to 16GB of flash memory and a 2.4-inch, 320 x 240 pixel display. The included EPG even allows you to schedule up to 10 programs for recording up to one month in advance for up to 100 hours of MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 formatted television inside the device. As this is Japan, it still supports ATRAC in addition to non-DRMed WMA and AAC, MP3, and linear PCM audio playback with SonicStage doing the sync work back to your PC. Rounding things out are an FM tuner, direct encoding from your CD/MD player, clear audio noise canceling headphones, and a battery capable of juicing up to 6 hours of television or 36 hours of audio. The premium NW-A919/BI (pictured) will sell in November for ¥47,800 while a 4GB NW-A916 should pop for about ¥30,000 ($259).

Hot! - iPhone Doesn’t Send IMEI Information to Apple!

Yes… German site Heise Online has tested Hackint0sh user XianLi’s claims about the iPhone sending its IMEI to Apple while accessing the web. According to Heise and other sources, this is not true:
While the code says “IMEI,” which stands for International Mobile Equipment Identity, it seems that the actual IMEI is not transmitted. Using a sniffer, Heise says they were able to get the information that the applications are actually sending. The strings aren’t the same as the test iPhone’s IMEI and, in fact, each application sends its own unique code.
According to further testing by Rene at blog docpool, these IDs are identical in all iPhones he has tried. The most plausible explanation: the codes could be just application identifiers. So.. Thats all… Mystery Solved over here!

The analogue watch face with two hands tops the display that stays inactive unless an event occurs. Although it can be brought to life with the upper key, so that it will get filled up with date, time and battery status. The lower buttons calls up the menu featuring the following options: Bluetooth activation, coupling mode, SMS notification (on/off), time synchronization with handset.
important note this watch goes with Sony Ericsson-branded handsets only with auto pairing being supported. Coupling the MBW-100 with Nokias phone wont cause much problems, however not a single feature will start up. The MBW-100 comes in a stylish black-finished box inside you will find either silver or black colored watch. It would seem that the black trim is more appealing visually, though its not the whole truth the steel trim has its trumps as well, since it has somewhat fresh looks.
The gadget comes with a special charging cable, whose front end attaches to the watch with a clip, while the other one is a socket for plugging in standard charger for Sony Ericssons handsets. It takes the MBW-100 about 1 hour and 10 minutes to charge from empty to full.

Nike’s Amp+ Watch: hearts your heart and ipod, too

Quietly — too quietly perhaps since Apple hasn’t update their site yet — Nike’s $79.00 Amp+ Sport Remote Control just made its first appearance on Nike’s online store. That “+” indicates that this device integrates with Apple’s wee iPod nano receiver for Nike+ shoes allowing you to wirelessly track and monitor your runs and personal progress. Yes, it’s a watch too; an LED display shows the time of day with those biggie, iPod icons appearing only when activated by the remote. It’s also water resistant for you Mr. Sweaty McFaty, up to 50-meters in fact just in case your glands react unfavorably to your new Twinkie-free lifestyle. With the Amp+ now shipping, it’s reasonable to expect the other unannounced devices we peeped back in January to go to market as well, donchathink?
